Pile Dynamics Interview - Held between Mr. W. Dalton of Pile Dynamics & Yehya Aoun of constructionHQ

  • For construction teams dealing with lots of deep foundation testing data, how does ATLAS make it simpler to manage and keep everything organized in one place?

Atlas was designed to have an intuitive user interface structured similar to a folder browser tree that all are a custom to using from everyday devices like personal computers and phones.  It is structured so that the user can upload, store, and view all their project documents and data to one organized location saving users time by not having to go track down critical information that is often stored in different locations.

  • What are the key ways ATLAS helps different people involved in a project – like engineers and contractors – share and collaborate effectively using the same pile testing information?

Atlas enables an engineer or governing body to create their project in one location and then the equipment that is collecting the equipment can be synchronized so as data is collected the user in the field (contractor or engineer) already has the design information loaded into the device.  In addition to this, the field user can upload any other field reports or logs to the pile container (folder or directory) so when the engineer examines the data, he already has all relevant information.

  • How does ATLAS help speed up communication and decision-making by allowing quick sharing of pile testing results among everyone on the project team?

Atlas provides a flexible environment where all relevant information can be easily uploaded so all interested parties can have instant access to all information enabling them to make informed decisions.

  • Besides the raw testing numbers, what other kinds of documents – like reports or photos – can you view directly within ATLAS without having to download separate programs?

Atlas currently supports viewing of the following file types, txt, jpeg, png, csv, pdf.

  • Looking ahead, what are some of the potential future improvements or new features that Pile Dynamics is considering for ATLAS to make it even more useful for managing and analyzing deep foundation testing data?

Moving forward Atlas will continue to add more data viewer tools as well as analytic tools eliminating the need to download data to post processes in secondary standalone applications.

  • Thank you Mr. Dalton for your time and information provided regarding ATLAS. For those interested, how can they contact you for further details or to request a demo / quotation?

My pleasure! Anyone interested in the ATLAS system please visit ATLAS™ Secure Cloud Services for the Thermal Integrity Profiler (TIP™) - Pile Dynamics, Inc., or call us on +1 (216) 831-6131 or send your query via email to info@pile.com.
